Colossus

Colossus, de la chorégraphe australienne Stephanie Lake remplit la scène d’une masse vivante, respirante et joyeuse de corps dansants, se déplaçant à l’unisson et dans une individualité sauvage.
La quarantaine de danseurs du Ballet Junior de Genève cœxiste sur scène dans une imperfection parfaite, illustrant l’attraction et l’éloignement des humains en s’appuyant sur les motifs exquis que l’on trouve dans le monde naturel. Explorant la beauté et la laideur de l’expérience collective, Colossus se construit vers un climat uni et vertigineux.
Au fond, Colossus parle de l’humanité et de l’exquise complexité de vivre à proximité les uns des autres.

Out of the darkness, the theatre gradually fills with a living, breathing, joyous mass of dancing bodies, moving in complex unison and wild individuality. They jostle and coexist in perfect imperfection, illustrating the push and pull of humanity and the exquisite patterning found in the natural world.

Exploring the beauty and ugliness of the collective experience, Colossus builds and re-builds towards a united, frenetic and formidable utopia.
