Tribute to Noemi Lapsezon
The Choreographer and teacher Noemi Lapsezon has left this world.
Last Autumn, a few days before receiving the Swiss Grand Prix of dance from the federal office of culture, Noemi Lapzeson was with her long-standing collaborator Marcela San Pedro in the studios at rue du Pré-Jérôme to restage with Ballet Junior her piece "Un Instant", presented on the stage of the Théâtre de l'Equilibre in Fribourg during the award ceremony in front of a packed house.
During this work period, the dancers have kept the memory of a privileged exchange with a generous and sincere woman. They keep in mind her exceptional presence, her sensitivity and vast knowledge, her way of letting them find their own paths while being attentive to the smallest details. Adam, Esther, Juliette and Rafael will have been the last dancers to have had the privilege of working and exchanging with this great lady of the contemporary Swiss dance scene.
To her family and loved ones, the entire team of the Ecole de Danse de Genève sends its deepest condolences.
